Hello all,
I've got a brand new server with RAM and disk to burn. Common-lisp.net is in dire need of both, so i'd like to get the ball rolling on the upgrade.
Erik: You've done this before. Can i ask you to lead off with a quick summary of what is needed?
Everybody Else: Following along at home will help us all get a better understanding of what keeps cl-net running, so in the event that the next ILC gets hit by a bus or something that results in the incapacitation of all the cl-net administrators, you can step up and be heroes!
Cheers,
drewc
Drew, all,
I'm sorry, I can't much help here. I don't recall everything I had to go through (there were a million details) and I barely have time to write this email let alone do anything more.
I remember I took some notes of files I had to copy/change:
http://trac.common-lisp.net/clo/wiki/InstalledPackages
Perhaps that'll help.
Good luck! Thanks, Erik.
