Live from the floor of ECLM 2013, [Binaries for the first release candidate for abcl-1.2.0][abcl-1.2.0-rc-0] have been uploaded and signed by <evenson.not.org(a)gmail.com>. For reasons that aren't entirely clear, the size of the archive has increased to 10 Mib. I'm not sure if this has been just a slow creep, or is related to the recent conversion of CLOS infrastructure from Java to Lisp. Please test if you can, letting us know if you have problems. 1) I check out a fresh working copy from SVN trunk (rev14574). 2) Then I try to build. It fails. <<<<<<<<<<<<<< $ ant Buildfile: MYWORKDIR/build.xml abcl.clean.maybe: [echo] Cleaning all intermediate compilation artifacts. [echo] Setting 'abcl.build.incremental' enables incremental compilation. abcl.clean: abcl.copy.lisp: BUILD FAILED MYWORKDIR/build.xml:200: file attribute is null! Total time: 0 seconds >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3) Then I comment line 200 in build xml. This line was: <file name="${basedir}/abcl.rdf"/> 4) and run again $ ant Now the build passes ok. Ant version is: $ ant -version Apache Ant(TM) version 1.8.2 compiled on December 20 2010 The documentation says that ant-1.7.1 is enough. I have the workaround. Nevertheless, how to build properly ?

I apologize for bothering everyone with this, but I haven't been able to figure out how to unsubscribe from armedbear-devel. The common-lisp.net mail lists seem to be in a state of (eternal?) flux. One day I saw something there that said to send a message to armedbear-devel+unsubscribe(a)common-lisp.net, which I did, and it seemed to work for a while, but now I'm getting messages again. Hi, I've mentioned this on IRC, just so it isn't forgotten: I was getting some objects from Hibernate in the REPL, which worked fine until the toString() method of an object was called and threw an exception, terminating ABCL completely. Attached is a patch which catches all exceptions during the printObject() method of JavaObject. Best regards, Olof

Hello, is there a reason why interrupt-thread doesn't seem to run the requested function in some cases? The following code tries to run a function in each existing thread (the variable *output* logs the calls that we try to run and the ones that are actually run). But why doesn't the thread "interpreter" run the function? Running in slime there are many threads present, and most of them will respond as expected. Hi, This is related to my previous question on catching cl errors in java. This time, I would like to know if it's possible to completely disable the debugger. The error catching that I'm currently using (from the previous thread) works fine, but some things can still escape. Whenever the debugger is started, my whole program locks up for some reason and I'm unable to resume. Jonathan

Also, upgrading from ASDF 2.25 or 2.26 used to work, but not anymore. Now 2.27 is needed (as configured in header.lisp, and tested with make u l=abcl ASDF_UPGRADE_TEST_TAGS=2.25).
