Thanks, Luís, that was exactly what I needed! JSS is an extension to the JFFI in ABCL. It provides a get-java-field that does a similar bit of magic to allow access to private and protected fields. I'll hack something like PRIVATE-JMETHOD into JSS for ABCL.
