 An application such as

 will produce the error:

 {{{
 Unsupported directory component "servlet-test".
    [Condition of type FILE-ERROR]
 }}}

 The purpose of the attached patch is to fix that, and to provide better
 documentation through the abstraction of parts of the package function
 into new functions.
