Oh, you mean you had this bug before 3.3 already? That's a useful data
point!
My mental model is indeed that if something depends explicitly on UIOP (or
ASDF?), then something about the "always load ASDF first" mechanism may
cause some bad behavior. But I haven't figured out what.
