How would it mess your configuration?
Do you have plenty of conflicting .asd's there that are going to shadow those you like and each other?
Or are you expecting many seconds of scanning through deep directory structures that may or may not contain .asd files?
Because adding them to the list is otherwise a NOP if the directories don't exist or don't contain .asd files.
