Are you using logical pathnames? Maybe I should disable the output translation layer when using logical pathnames?
the problem is sbcl's treatments of logical and physical hosts. the trace does not reveal much. it's just a compile-op on a file component. please see the message i have posted from another host with the component descriptions.
