Note that because the .asd file can load some dependencies that are not in the :depends-on, and because there is now :defsystem-depends-on that does the same thing just more declaratively, the only completely "safe" way to compute the (transitive) dependencies would be to 1) clear the existing systems 2) load the system 3) see what are the systems loaded.
