Package: cl-s-xml Version: 1:20060513-3 Severity: normal Hello, the sax parser example code in the documentation calls the function trace-xml-log(), which seems not to be included in the s-xml package (i loaded s-xml via asdf as described in the readme.debian file). I see 2 possibilites to improve the docs at this point: #1: use an example without trace-xml-log(). #2: point the user to the file $s-xml/test/tracer.lisp, which does include trace-xml-log() and also the complete sax parser example code. No copy and paste needed, if we point the user to the tracer.lisp file. Package: clisp-dev Version: 1:2.43-1 Severity: normal Hi, clisp-link includes the option -lSM and -lICE in a linking call, but dpkg-shlibdeps complains that the binary uses no symbols from this libraries. I tried to remove both options in /usr/lib/clisp-2.43/full/makevars and everything goes fine. Please, remove these flags from LIBS in makevars or make it possible to exclude them at runtime. This is exactly the same error that cause sparc removal from the supported architecture, see bug #386075 [2]. Bernd, I'd downgrade the severity at least to normal or wishlist (sparc is not supported). I planned to upload version 2.44.1 this evening or tomorrow: since this is a bugfix upstream version for gcc-4.2/-4.3 [3], we can give it a try on sparc again. What do you think? Package: clisp-dev Version: 1:2.43-1 Severity: normal Hi, /usr/lib/clisp-2.43/full/makevars includes this definition: LIBS=' bdb.o -ldb clx.o -lXpm … But a library libbdb doesn't exist and clisp itself is linked with /usr/lib/libdb-4.6.so % ldd /usr/lib/clisp-2.43/full/lisp.run G bdb libdb-4.6.so => /usr/lib/libdb-4.6.so (0x0fe82000) When I replace the -ldb with -ldb-4.6 I can compile the binary.
