The normal sid version will only work on a 2.6 kernel, a special 2.4 version is also available at http://people.debian.org/~pvaneynd/cl-sarge24-packages/sbcl/
If the sid version is known not to work with a 2.4 kernel, what's the point in testing it? Does the distribution as a whole plan to support 2.4 kernels in etch? -- Matt
