[cl-debian] Bug#436024: sbcl: Include shebang support

Package: sbcl Severity: wishlist It would be very nice if the SBCL package already included shebang support as explained on: http://www.sbcl.org/manual/Unix_002dstyle-Command-Line-Protocol.html#Unix_00... It'd be nice so one would actually be able to create a program, there's no other way to create a SBCL/CL program and ship it (unless you can accept all programs to be 25MB big and have all the libraries and sbcl embedded). If this is enabled, one could create a CL library and an SBCL script that would be dropped on /usr/bin/ that would be the program that uses the library. (Other implementations would be as problematic as they are today). Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.24-grsec Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages sbcl depends on: pn common-lisp-controlle Not found. ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22sarge6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an

How would you like this? As part of the standard startup might cause problems for other people, not? A specific invocation should be fine, as is done in R6RS. #!/usr/bin/env sbcl-script It should be doable either as a shell script or a customized image, I'd say. Quickly, Pierre -- nowhere.man@levallois.eu.org OpenPGP 0xD9D50D8A
