[cl-debian] Bug#384697: closed by "Faré" <fahree@gmail.com> (bug closed but not automatically detected)

retitle 384697 needs to modify variables at cl-launch-created-script execution thanks Hello! On Tue, 10 Oct 2006 18:34:56 +0200, Debian Bug Tracking System wrote:

Exactly :-)
In any case, the cl-launchrc feature, enabled by default on debian, fixes the issue as best as can be done by cl-launch. For more configurability, you can always use front-ends that either invokes a cl-launch-generated script without dump giving a proper $LISP or calls one of many cl-launch-generated scripts with dumps, one for each supported implementation.
As of my reply at [1], I don't think that the solution provided is answering the problem. I changed the title, underlying the fact that what the end-user would probably want to modify is a variable in a script created with cl-launch --output /usr/bin/script [...] The solution provided helps at script creation, not at script execution, which is my concern for a Debian end-user (I'd say that this is a Debian Policy problem). Faré, I'd suggest you to tag the bug as wontfix, the definition of which is at [2], at least until the submitter and the maintainer won't agree on a solution ;-) Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca Footnotes: [1] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=384697;msg=52 [2] This bug won't be fixed. Possibly because this is a choice between two arbitrary ways of doing things and the maintainer and submitter prefer different ways of doing things, possibly because changing the behaviour will cause other, worse, problems for others, or possibly for other reasons
