This should not happen anymore with
Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-686
What does "cat /proc/self/maps", "ulimit -H -a", "ulimit -S -a", "cat /proc/sys/kernel/exec-shield", "cat /proc/sys/kernel/randomize_va_space" return? Are you running prelink? I'm guessing this problem is causes by prelink (I do not have it) and recent openoffice package do not seem to require it. Could you try to remove it, or run "prelink -u /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0" to stop prelinking that library. If it turns out this fixes the problem I'll have to add a conflict with prelink.
