Hi, as I'm following Hunchentoot's development quite closely (and I now maintain Mercurial mirrors for its history), I'd like to help maintaining it along with its dependencies. Would you mind if I try to comaintain it with you? Interestingly, Pierre -- nowhere.man@levallois.eu.org OpenPGP 0xD9D50D8A

_no_, however I think I update it reasonably frequently, not? I don't think the packages in experimental are that out-of-date... If you think a faster release cycle is needed I propose you take over the package entirely as I will never be faster then you. No, the packages are far from out of date, but as Edi is releasing versions of Hunchentoot at a pretty high pace currently, it might be good to update the package /even/ faster. :-)

OK, I'll do that, then. Has the contributor of the Hunchentoot logo been contacted to see if he would consider releasing his image under a DFSG-compatible licence? Quickly, Pierre -- nowhere.man@levallois.eu.org OpenPGP 0xD9D50D8A

I packaged 0.8.1 as 0.8.1.dfsg-1. I sent it to mentors.d.n. And I've set up a source control for my packaging, as for other packages (but I just noted I didn't use XS-Vcs-Hg for them): http://arcanes.fr.eu.org/~pierre/2007/04/hunchentoot-pkg/ Quickly, Pierre -- nowhere.man@levallois.eu.org OpenPGP 0xD9D50D8A

Hi I fear I'll have to check my mail more often. On Saturday 07 April 2007 16:20, Pierre THIERRY wrote:

In fact, yesterday night I went over his packages and upgraded to 0.8.4 I fear. I've added you as a maintainer and will upload this later today. Unless you protest.

Hmm. A minor adjustment: does someone else upload your stuff from the mentors site? If not I propose co-maintainership until you have your upload privileges. Being the maintainer but relying on me to upload the package is rather silly.

Do. Actually I had to have a look at the archives of debian-legal to find out that the arguments against that CC license were.
And I've set up a source control for my packaging, as for other packages (but I just noted I didn't use XS-Vcs-Hg for them):
Any idea on how to do hg <-> bzr synchronisation? Groetjes, Peter -- signature -at- pvaneynd.mailworks.org http://www.livejournal.com/users/pvaneynd/ "God, root, what is difference?" Pitr | "God is more forgiving." Dave Aronson|

That's fine with me.

Not yet.

OK. If my packaging work is good enough, would you consider proposing me as Debian Maintainer for the packages I work on? (if the status of DM is finally approved, of course...)
Being the maintainer but relying on me to upload the package is rather silly.
It's now pretty common to do such sponsored uploads, I think.
Do. Actually I had to have a look at the archives of debian-legal to find out that the arguments against that CC license were.
I'll contact him and see if he's willing to relicense or dual-license...

I use tailor a bit to do some mirroring, and it is also made to do synchronization of repositories. But the URL in the control file was not reachable when I tried. BTW, I just looked at it once more, and found out where it is: http://cl-debian.alioth.debian.org/repository/pvaneynd/bzr-moved/hunchentoot... But it is advertised at: http://cl-debian.alioth.debian.org/repository/pvaneynd/bzr/hunchentoot/ I'll see how synchro works in tailor and report about my tests...
