Thanks for this bug report; you are right that it is a bug in CL- Markdown's implementation. I will add it to my list but probably won't get to it for at least a few weeks. Let me know if you find other problems or have other ideas.

I've attached the README.md here. The last border before the bugs heading is rendered as dashes, not as a nice straight line (as it gets rendered at the top of the file before the some examples header).
This might be a limitation of markdown itself and not your implementation of it. Not sure, just thought I'd pass it on.
I can get it to render correctly if I put a plain piece of text just before the dashes.
