Unfortunately lack of finances prohibits getting a hotel, and I still haven't found a hostel with a free place for saturday night.

When I went to ECLM a few years ago, I used http://couchsurfing.org to find people to stay with. It worked great, and there's quite an active couchsurfing community in Amsterdam.

Already managed to find something, thanks to Stelian Ionescu. Butthanks for the suggestion. (nearly sent it top-posted... wtf, gmail?)
