Hmmmm, Amsterdam and cheap hotels ... Maybe you could ask Arthur Lemmens <alemmens@xs4all.nl> because he did get me a nice room in a very pleasant neighbourhood in Amsterdam-Zuid in september 2004. It's maybe a bit late but just try it.
