[Apologies if you get this announcement more than once.]
Hi!
Arthur Lemmens and I are trying to organize a "European Common Lisp Meeting" and I think we've managed to assemble a quite impressive line-up of speakers.
The meeting will be in Amsterdam on April 24, 2005, and here's the list of the fellow Lispers who'll give a talk:
- Jans Aasman - Dave Fox - Luke Gorrie - Antonio Menezes Leitao - Christophe Rhodes - Robert Strandh - Espen Vestre
All details can be found on this website:
We hope that very many of you will be able to attend this meeting and make it a success. Please, if you consider joining us, use the registration facility that can be found at the website above.
We're looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam in April!
Cheers, Edi.

When I tried to register I got a database error which I forgot to save :-( but said something like "connection is NIL". I re-tried and this time it said:
| An error has occured: Error in function MEETING::CHECK-USER-EMAIL: The | email address 'elm2005@pvaneynd.mailworks.org' has already been | registered.

Which shows that the whole registration site is a quick hack - my apologies. I can't reproduce this right now and according to the log file this only happened once (but of course it shouldn't happen at all) - I'll keep my eyes open.
I see you're on the list of confirmed attendants so it somehow worked in the end... :)
Thanks, Edi.

Unfortunately, it doesn't even give me an error message, just failed silently when I tried it. :( I tried it a few times, separated by hours.
