Hi, maybe someone can help me finding the reason for my problem: The Exif-Plug-in doesn’t show the IPTC data, although the image file contains it. I can see the data in Preview.app but the plugin only gives a question mark as result. Thank you in advance Michael Smolka

When I open ExifDemo.fmp12 in FileMaker Pro 14.0.1, the plugin does not install automatically and I have been unable to install it manually. The ultimate splash screen says "Failed to initialize". When I copy and paste the plugin to FM Pro Advanced 11.0v4, it installs and appears to be useable. I cannot use it, though, because the example in FMP 14.0.1 is unavailable for study. All the calculation fields in the demo show "Missing Function". Is that related to the failure of the plugin to install? Elvin Birth

ssl problem

I want to use (require "comm") (comm:ensure-ssl) in a FileMaker plugin built with fm-plugin-tools. In the listener it is no problem and even when using the hello-world delivery example from LW these two lines work without setting any openssl paths. I am working both on MacOSX 10.8 and Win7 with LW 6.1. I posted this already on Lispworks list (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.lisp.lispworks.general/12755) and got a bunch of hints but was not able yet to make it work in a FM plugin. When I try it, I get either an error ('unable to load library') or an outdated version of openssl loaded. So obviously fm-plugin-tools is changing something that makes the ssl library unusable. Any hints are welcome which help me out of this. Thanks Jens

[Fm-lisp] New Version 0.3.0 of Exif Plugin

Hi, Exif Plugin[*] is now able to get EXIF data also from container fields with images stored as reference. External jpg files are also accessible. The demo file is improved, it shows all existing exif data in a portal. In the older versions there was only one tag selectable. Demo file is FM 12 now and includes both plugins (for Mac and Win). It automaticly installs the plugin if necessary and helps to enable the plugin (if it is disabled). There are two new functions: Get_Exif_Reference( jpeg_reference ; tag ) which wants a FileMaker container field with jpg images stored as reference as first parameter and the exif tag as second. Hi When the images are inserted into a database via a conventional container field, the Exif_Get plugin works just fine. However it doesn't appear to work when the container field is a calculated field, accessing images that are resident outside of the database. Is this possible in some way, or a limitation of the plugin? Hi! Do you need this for Mac or Win? This is not a hard job, but I need the 64-bit version of Lispworks Software which I don't have yet. [Fm-lisp] Filemaker Exif Plugin - retrieval of additional tags?

Hi everybody, luckily I have found Jens Teich's plugin for Exif data retrieval into my Filemaker picture database.! Now I'm trying to retrieve additional metadata of my Ricoh G700SE camera - they seem to be part of the segment APP5 RICOH RMETA (as far as I recognized via Phil Harvey's ExifTool.). Since the Ricoh facilitates the addition of personal tags directly during camera usage, the tags have not necessarily a predefined name (unless I'd apply always the same name) and have no ID number like the other standard tags. My question: (How) can I access additional data beyond the defined information classes of Image IFD, Exif IFD and GPS IFD (GPS is not mentioned in Plugin example db)? Is Common Lisp able to process such additional tag information or how could that be achieved? Last question: in case Common Lisp could process, could the Plugin also get enabled to process? Exif-plugin uses a library (zpb-exif) written by Zach Beane (many thanks!). I have tried your EXIFplugin and it appears to work really good. I am interested in being able to read the GPS data. I have also tried Troi and MediaManager, and yours seems to be so much easier and has better results for me. The only drawback that I see is that the picture must be embedded in a container, and that a reference path does not work. The other two will work using a path, but trying different ways with the EXIFplugin, I have not got anything to work. I did notice that when doing calculations of EXIF data using your plugin, that a comma was used instead of a period for a decimal point. Is there maybe some other oddity that is used in a path that I need to adjust for, for the part of the world in which you are at? Thanks...Ken

I have been trying the FileMaker Exif plugin. However, I have some medical photos that are not read at all by the plugin. They were created by a Endoscopic device. However Troi plugin reads the exif perfectly. Is there a way to fix this? David

Hi, I am not pleased to having to work with FM, but fortunately saw the Reg Ex plugin Now when I try the following Text: "12345 abcd" Pattern: "12345(.*)" and request $1 I get "abcd" However when the string gets too long, eg 16 digits; I get a question mark,i.e. error It is really puzzling to me, why there would be a limitation on the return string Any ideas why and or workarounds?

I've confirmed that an image taken with my iPhone contains the following Geotags: North Or South Latitude Latitude East or West Longitude Longitude I can view standard tags in my image when it's loaded into ExifPlugin's example database, but not these tags. Is there any way to do this? I tried the latest release and it does not load under my setup. Mac OS 10.5.8 (Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz), FileMaker Advanced 10.0v3 It doesn't show up in the preferences pane Plugin v0.2.1 loads without any problem. You may have to change the minimum requirements.... has anyone else encountered any problems?

Hi guys. Has anyone experienced, that ExifPlugIn crashes FMPA 11.0.2 on quit? The plugin seems work fine however.
