In the meantime, I suppose both versions could be in the tree or at least the HTML version could be linked to from the webpage. I find the HTML version so much more convenient to use!
I can do that grunt work if necessary.

is this patch generally considered useful? i have no experience in tex and friends, but i've put the generated html online and it seems like something useful that shouldn't be forgotten...
if noone's complaining for sufficiently long, then i'll eventually push the patch, too.
