Tk 8.5 adds lots of new widgets, and the ttk extension which allows "themed" widgets for a native look-and-feel. I think it would be a good idea to update ltk for the new framework. I am willing to help write the code once the weekend rolls around.

good news: LTk *does* support Tk 8.5 :). Grab the latest releast at: http://www.peter-herth.de/ltk/ or even better, check out the svn repository at http://ltk.rplay.net/svn/trunk/ltk/ to be always up to date.
