I'd be very interested if someone with an X server using :msbfirst byte order could try this (seeing that the file icons in the listener appear correct is probably sufficient). Every X server available to me for testing has been :lsbfirst (including X11.app on a PPC Mac, interestingly), and probably some kind of XFree derivative.
