My experience with Smalltalk implementations that do and do not support namespaces lead me to see mx:what-ever as legislation of the mx-what-ever naming convention already practiced by responsible citizens. Not sure how I feel about legislation ;-)

I should have written, "Not sure how I feel about legislation *within* an application." Exported APIs, of course, should take advantage of the package name and eschew a common prefix. Mike
