[regex-coach] Howto run regex-coach on Linux (Kubuntu distro,)?

Hi, I download and untarred the regex-coach for Linux. I'm on a Kubuntu (KDE for Ubuntu => based on Debian core) box. But I'm not able to run the executable. Please could anybody provide me some suggestions?
