Yeah, there was a faulty setting in the Mailman interface for this mailing list which allowed people with bogus xxx@common-lisp.net email addresses to send messages to the list without being subscribed. I've changed that now. Thanks for the heads-up and sorry for the inconvenience. Cheers, Edi.
