[slime-devel] araneida doesn't work when run from inside SLIME?

I was trying to run portable-clblog, which uses araneida from SLIME, and the handler functions were never getting called and thus the HTTP client was waiting indefinitely for a response. See http://paste.lisp.org/display/19166#3 for the code. Turns out that it _does_ work if I run a standalone SBCL outside of Emacs and use (swank:create-server) and then use M-x slime-connect in Emacs. It only works if I start up the araneida listener outside of Emacs. If I do it from within slime, no go. Interesting. [slime-devel] duplicate output with slime from cvs and sbcl 0.9.11

Hello, Using sbcl 0.9.11 (+ threads) with slime from cvs duplicates output rather frequently. Interestingly, this is a problem only on my single cpu machine (pentium III Mobile) and there it hapens very often. On the one with two cpus (amd64 x2), if it happens with slime from cvs and sbcl 0.9.11 with threads, it must be very rare; I haven't seen it yet. Any ideas? Regards, Mario.

[slime-devel] C-up/C-down in slime repl, but not quite

I`ve noticed that pressing C-up/C-down with the cursor being outside the REPL -- that is, on some object -- not only has no effect of selecting an history item, but also "kills" the object the cursor resides on: the object loses the special red highlight and becomes boring gray text. I was quite impressed to see the special arglist support for make-instance. [slime-devel] slime release

Hello, I plan to take the current slime from cvs (taken at the moment I post this) and call it a release. Given the many features and fixes added since 1.3.1, I propose calling/numbering it slime 2.0 If there aren't any objections, I will publish it in about 24 hours. Regards, Mario.

Hello, There is a backend for scheme48. Any objections to including it in slime 2.0? I've heard strong rumors about some patches that are about to make it into the tree that add support for sbcl under windows. I think I'll wait until they are included. Regards, Mario.
