On the assumption that you are using the default Ubuntu kernel for that release, you might wish to check Ubuntu bug #10246 (at <http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=10246>) -- the executive summary is that the kernel supplied by Ubuntu is broken. Cheers, Christophe
