I don't know when this crept in, but currently whenever I press M-. on a function which is part of CL (e.g. 'file-size 'rename-file) slime and emacs crash. Emacs won't even refresh its windows and I have to kill its process and restart. But it works just fine on local package functions.

do you have any other info to provide? (backtrace, contents of *slime-events*, emacs error message, etc.)
