Brian O'Connor wrote something about a Mac specific problem with CVS Emacs in his blog: http://www.wnyx.com/2004/12/gnu_emacs.html. Perhaps his patch works for you too. I just compiled a fresh Emacs from CVS on Linux/x86, but everything seems to work as usual. Helmut.
