I *think* C-c C-k should execute the program.
From the screen information it is simply compiled.

C-c C-k compiles & loads the file. Whatever you have in that file doesn't work equally well compiled. You can in all probability replicate your error by doing (load (compile-file "x.lisp")) in the REPL. (Not a Slime issue.) Cheers, -- Nikodemus
