That grey background for uncompiled changes interacts very badly with my environment, both because I have a foreground color that doesn't contrast again grey, and because I always have extensive amounts of what SLIME thinks are uncompiled changes when they are not. Is there really no switch to kill this? Just don't load slime-highlight-edits contrib.
