Would the following patch be acceptable? It would make obvious --- for people like me who use the menu as a crutch to learn the keybindings --- that the previous and next commands in the repl don't just yank the immediately previous (next), but also do matching. Possible (more wordy) alternative would be to replace (matching) with (matching current)...
