[slime-devel] Starting Slime via slime-selector

I've had the following for _ages_ in my local tree. Unless there are objections I'd prefer to merge it. In a nutshell: in the unlikely event of not having a running Slime when your fingers think for themselves and hit the slime-selector/r keys you are given the chance to start Slime then and there.
