ok, i figured it out. here's a quick patch that will remove the read-only property. i'd have thought it would retain the intangible bit, but i guess not.
Should be fixed in CVS. I wrote a small wrapper around hyperspec-lookup, because I don't like to change hypespec.el itself. Thanks for the report! Helmut.
