Here is a small patch for swank-cmucl. Basically, treats cmu19 and cmu20 as the same. I'm not sure what effect this has, but it doesn't break anything that I can tell. In particular read-into-simple-string is no longer defined, but it's not defined in cmucl 20 either, so it wasn't used anyway.
Maybe it's better to have #+cmu18 instead of #-(or cmu19 cmu20), since it's stated that cmu-18e is the oldest supported version of CMUCL.
