The problem is that Slime merges windows whenever I compile something C-c-k and when I'm done watching a macro-expansion (closing it with q).
This seems to be have been happening for a while as I've been following CVS HEAD; the problem is not visible in FAIRLY-STABLE.
..it's starting to get really annoying and I've gone back to FAIRLY-STABLE now; am I the only one seeing this?

*shrug* .. never mind; it seems to work again after a `cvs up -r HEAD' just now. :}
