In English, saying something "makes no sense" is not quite as bad as saying it is "nonsense." "Makes no sense" is more like saying it is illogical. Though I suppose it could have been worded better. "This makes no sense to me..." is a much better.

calling this nonesense is actually rather euphemistic or polite. IIRC input type submit was in the original html form spec. Long before Struts ..... And it has nothing whatsoever to do with the OP's problem.
