Personally, I'm starting the year off by going through the codebase for Elite for Emacs <http://members.fortunecity.com/salkosuo/elite-for-emacs/> and trying to get a working game out of it. I'll let you know how it goes (and if I end up fully re-writing the thing, I'll toss it up on github with an open source license). -Leo
