The October meeting of the Toronto Lisp Users Group is upon us!
Tuesday October 5 2010, 6pm, at the Linuxcaffe
Lately I've become interested in methods for reliable software. The article "Crash-Only Software" is a great read (http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.90.9585&rep=rep...). I wonder if these or similar ideas have been pursued using Lisp. I know there's someone working on an Erlang in Lisp. But I feel like that's only the beginning..
See you all tomorrow!
Best wishes, Vish

I'll be there.
Lately, I've been looking for a multicore / distributed problem to apply my reactive stuff to, as an example. I'm reading (and have implemented a single-thread version of):
http://hal.inria.fr/docs/00/18/29/61/PDF/fl_bench_v2.pdf
pt
I'll be there but probably around 6:30ish.

Sorry I missed the meeting. I am frantically trying to complete some late season landscaping before winter. Also - learning Haskell and reading really abstruse research papers for school.
I look forward to the minutes. I hope to be at the next meet.
