[toronto-lisp] multi-core CL STM

If anyone is not a member of the LispWork lisp-hug mailing list and is interested in multi-core STM, check out Dave McClain's thread entitled "STM": http://www.lispworks.com/support/lisp-hug.html As someone pointed out, the complete multi-core CL implementation of STM fits in one email... pt [may include hoyteisms].

A side note ... While on GMANE (http://news.gmane.org/gmane.lisp.lispworks.general/) scroll down a bit to "18 Jan 00:37 David McClain" where the original thread first starts off. It has since branched off into a couple new threads as seen at the top of the page. David McClain's code looks really interesting. This doesn't surprise me because I've corresponded with David before and he works on lots of really cool stuff. Antiweb applications also use STM pretty heavily via the Berkeley DB library. I've probably pasted this link before, but here it is again just in case: http://hoytech.com/transactional-programming.html

Uh oh, not that Hoyte guy again... ;)
