Thanks for your patch. I'll merge it after some confirmations. Both ECL and SBCL were affected by your changes, and I'm not sure yet if SBCL's socket functions accepts (:timeout nil) once no :timeout argument was supplied for usocket:socket-connect.

Hi, Pavel
Your patch has been committed into USOCKET with slightly modifications for making it SBCL only. (ECL doesn't support TIMEOUT keyword)
You'll see it in next USOCKET bugfix release (0.4.2) soon.
