[admin] Project for miscellaneous extensions?

Hi, I have a couple of small language extensions I would like to publish on your site. (One extends the behavior of LET to make it more convenient to use multiple values; the other is a simple, extensible iteration macro (yes, another one)). But before I ask you to set up a project for me, let me ask: do you know of an existing project I could simply add this code to? If one doesn't already exist, then I think we should start a project named (perhaps) "cl-extensions", intended to serve as a catch-all for small extensions of this kind. Anyone would be invited to add their favorites, the only restrictions being: () each extension must live in its own package () merely loading the extension must not alter the behavior of Common Lisp Please let me know whether you think this is a good idea. -- Scott P.S. Hi oh-powers-that-be... I'd like to turn moptilities and metatilities into real live common- lisp.net projects in order to (I hope) improve my self-organization, etc. They are both MIT style licenses. Here are their descriptions: Moptilities: :description "Common Lisp MOP utilities" :long-description "MOP utilities is designed to provide a common interface between lisps and make the MOP easier to use." Hi, I'm the new maintainer for the fetter project. Two quick questions: 1. There are two files in the fetter public_html/ directory, index.html and getting-started.html, that are owned by the former maintainer (Rayiner Hashem) and are not group-writable. Could you make it possible for me to write to these files, or would it be more appropriate for me to ask Rayiner to do it? 2. There is a an ftp/ directory in the fetter project (actually a symlink to /var/ftp/pub/project/fetter, now that I look at it) containing several files, but the links to those files on the project web page appear broken. I don't see anything about ftp on the project-intro or faq pages. Is ftp no longer supported? Thanks, David Huebel

Thanks a lot for the intitiating the CVS access. But I'm afraid I'm not set up to effectively contribute directly to CVS at this time. You must excuse me for not taking it up right now, and would appreciate it if marco could go ahead (if its not inconvenient) Also, for the future: I only have a "private" public gpg key, (i.e. only self-signed, and not in public web of trusts), would this be a problem? -- Best Regards Madhu

Hello, A few weeks ago I received a common-lisp.net account (mhaverbeke), and I'd like to add two more projects to it. If you could take a look at these and, if they sound good, create the project dirs & mailing lists I would be much obliged. The first one is called Postmodern and is similar to CLSQL, but Postgresql specific. This means it can use a lot of the cool stuff Postgresql provides instead of aiming for a lowest common denominator. Other improvements are a more general SQL-from-S-expressions syntax, a way to define your database structure from Lisp, and not relying on C libraries (while still being blindingly fast, of course). The other one is positively tiny (a hundred lines, with comments), and can be used to convert lisp floating point numbers to and from a binary representation as defined by IEEE 754. If you'd rather not have a proliferation of mini-projects I can just put this under Postmodern (which uses it), and provide a separate tarball there. Both are released under a BSD-style license.
