Hi,
My name is Red Daly and I humbly request common-lisp.net's services for
hosting the Suave project, a collection of software for the semantic
web. The project is currently hosted on Google Code, but I would like
the a darcs repository and mailing list.
The project consists of a few componnents:
1. The ParenScript Object System is a CLOS-like object system for
class- and generic function-based object-oriented programming in web
browsers.
2. RJSON - an extension to JSON that allows cross-referencing and other
useful serialization features.
3. Sails - a way to describe visual components, similar to Dojo's
widget system.
4. XML-MOP: a library that integrates XML into CLOS for reading and
writing some kinds of XML documents. I'd like to generalize this and
clean up the protocol more.
5. Lambdas on Llamas: a straightforward semantic web development
framework. Uses (more or less) Elephant for
persistence, OWL for modeling, and Parenscript for scripting.
I have attached my GPG key although I just generated it and have never
used GPG keys before.
Thanks for your services to the Lisp community. I look forward to your
response.
Thanks,
Red Daly
Hello,
I've created a program to poll Edi Weitz's packages and insert changes
in darcs trees. You can see the result of the initial run here:
<http://common-lisp.net/~loliveira/ediware/>
I think this might be useful for other people too, so I'd like to run
it as a cronjob, if that's ok. It is a Lisp program, however, and
there is no Lisp available on c-l.net. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello, Admins:
I have two Common Lisp projects that should be suitable for
Common-Lisp.net. I am the sole member of these projects.
The first is the Meta-CVS project, the version control system layered
on CVS which adds directory structure versioning, symbolic links,
execute permissions, snapshot importing with automatic renaming
analysis, and other features. I have done some work on this recently
and can make a new release very soon. (Suggested project name:
meta-cvs).
The second is ``Common Lisp Kanji Drill''; a serious learning tool for
assisting the student in the task of memorizing the meanings of
Japanese characters. CLKD is different from other kanji drill programs
in that it is designed to yield results for someone who needs to cram
hundreds and hundreds of characters into memory. CLKD uses a web
browser for its user interface through the Araneida web server. I
haven't decided on a license, but let's tentatively say GPL.
(Suggested names: clkd, cl-kanji-drill).
My GPG key is below.
Thank you.

Hello,
I would like to apply for project hosting at c-l.net. The intended
project is CL-JPEG, a baseline JPEG codec written in Common Lisp. The
project is to be moved from its current sourceforge location. The
project is under BSD-style license.
The members should be me, Cyrus Harmon and Eric Marsden.
Regards,
Eugene Zaikonnikov.

Hello,
I have a new project idea and some code as well, see below.
Best wishes,
Henrik Hjelte
user hhjelte(a)common-lisp.net
Project-name: grand-prix
Description:
Tests, stress-test and performance-tests for Common Lisp
object-databases and persistence libraries.
Why?
* For evaluating object databases and comparing syntax and features.
* Makes implementation of new object databases easier, since you don't
have to invent all the new testcases.
* A wishlist for new features, add a test and see if someone implements
it.
* Maybe improves the quality of object databases over time?
Some inspiration, such as the name Grand-Prix and the name of some
classes, come from a similar project in Java called PolePosition_
