[cffi-devel] why is null-pointer a function?

Hi, I would like to ask why null-pointer is a function, not a variable... One reason is just curiosity, the other is that I want to know if it is safe to save the result of (null-pointer) in a variable and use it from then on (less parens, fewer function calls). Thanks Tamas

Hi, I have read about these functions in http://common-lisp.net/project/cffi/darcs/cffi/doc/mem-vector.txt, but couldn't find them in the source (I looked in the 21-Jun-2007 tarball). Where are they defined? Thanks, Tamas
