Dear all, I understand that the service provided by cl.net is purely voluntary, free and that yadda, yadda, yadda. But the pages appearing when one goes to http://common-lisp.net is simply not useful. The main thing missing is the list of projects. Where is it? Also, the mailing lists do not appear to work anymore. Not just a few. Also, I do not understand why, even if "the server must move" it also had to "move to a complicated web infrastructure that has many more things that can go wrong". I don't know about other people, but I'd vote for the restoration of the previous version of the overall infrastructure. Monthly mailing list announcements?

I just noticed that I don't get the monthly mailing list reminders about subscriptions and passwords that I used to get. Are they supposed to be working or have they been disabled? And where are the mailing list archives again? All of the old links are broken. Ray

Can't remember if I mentioned this before, but when I submit a ticket to trac, trac sends and email to the ticket mailing list. (cmucl-ticket in this case). But the message is held for moderation because it's coming from a wrong address, I guess. In this case, the From address is cmucl-devel@. This used to work, without me having to approve of every message. Did some old configuration not get restored or do I now need to update something? Ray

Updating of GIT repositories mirrored on common-lisp.net is broken!

For projects that mirror their GIT repositories on common-lisp.net it looks very much like the automatic (cron based) updating has been broken since last April, 23. I think the problem comes from a stale lock file named cron.root.update-git-mirrors.run in directory /custom/run. Could someone with root access remove that stale lock and assure that the updating script can then run properly? Thanks, Jean-Claude Beaudoin

Mailing list changes?

Did something change with the mailing lists again? Yesterday and today I got a bunch of welcome messages. Yesterday was for mailing lists that were already working (like cmucl-imp, cmucl-announce). Today, I got some for editor-hints-devel and cmucl-help. Also, I got an welcome message for f2cl-annooi(a)common-lisp.net. I can't help but think that's a typo for f2cl-announce. Can someone fix that, please? Ray
