In this case, unless there is general consensus on the issue, I'm reluctant on changing the default value of truenamep from T to NIL. It's been that way since at least 18c (I just checked) and perhaps even before. Doesn't mean it's right, but in these many years, there hasn't been enough reason to change it. Ray
