Use ccl::nth-immediate instead of %svref in the implementation of CLOSURE-CLOSED-OVER-VALUES. This makes it work on x86-64 OpenMCL. (The %svref worked on PPC, but this will work on both.)

[slime-devel] Newbie: tags and cross reference

Hi I am using SLIME to connect to a remote lisp process (running in detachtty) and I am wondering how can quickly jump to a function definition (pressing alt . ). Currently when I press alt . I jump to an empty buffer. How can I build a tags file for a remote project (if it's possible)? I was trying to use SLIME's cross reference from the menu. When I point at the function and say for instance "who calls" emacs says "Unresolved, file unknown". I wonder what I am missing here? Thank you, Andrew

Hi, I've bought a new laptop and as I can use OpenMCL now (the new machine having a 64-bit processor), I recently started working with it via SLIME. But I soon ran into problems that reminded me of bug reports I had seen before[*] and I could confirm that I only had these problems when I worked from within SLIME. What's happening is that OpenMCL complains about a stream being private to some "exhausted" process. So, before I might try to investigate this further or try to send a more detailed bug report with a reproducible test case - is this maybe a known issue? I searched Gmane and Google, but couldn't find anything, but maybe I just missed the important bits and pieces. FWIW, OpenMCL is 1.1.pre-release (snapshot 070722) on Linux x86-64 (Ubuntu 7.04), SLIME is from CVS from approx. two weeks ago on GNU Emacs 22.1. Thanks, Edi. [slime-devel] weird ^D errors

ok, for some weeks now, I've been getting this sporadic error where I start navigating through a file and I get errors such as this: unknown &KEY argument: :|PRI^DNT-RIGHT-MARGIN| obviously, the ^D in the middle of print-right-margin isn't right. But it's not just print-right-margin, yet it always seems to be a ^D. Has anyone else seen such a problem? I'm running on a threaded version of SBCL (1.0.10.29) for MacOS with a reasonably recent carbon emacs built from CVS (current head doesn't run, but that's another story; perhaps emacs is the culprit here).
