[admin] Lisp Education CD as ISO project

Hi there, LispNYC.org has created a free self-booting Lisp Education CD which contains: * 3 complete Lisp Deveopment Systems * 3 full length books * numbers of tutorials, references, etc. ...all in a single integrated environment. It debuted at Linux World Expo with almost 100 CDs given out to interested individuals. Someone enjoyed it so much, they came back the next day to give LispNYC.org a $20 donation! Anyway, the problem is that LispNYC is running on DSL and cannot host an ISO, which is why I'd like to include it on common-lisp.net. We expect anywhere between 2 and 10 downloads per week (currently a steady 3 requests per week) and I'd also be setting up a mailing list etc. But due to the fact that there exists within the CD: * copyrighted software (Allegro CL and LispWorks) * copyrighted work (Successful Lisp, OnLisp) and the fact that various authors specifically request that: * they retain copyright to their work * it not enter the 'public domain' * the CD remain free of charge ...the license is unique in that the CD expressively remains free (as in without cost) yet not fall into the public domain or under a different license. This of course dose not preclude some of the seperate works falling under a more lenient license. Thus only LispNYC.org, the ALU and myself can legally distribute it. We, of course, have explicit permission from every author to distribute the content found on the CD, which was no small task. :-) Thanks, - Heow

Hello, I would like to start uploading some code for the IMAGO project (and put a pubkey.asc file in my home directory), unfortunately I cannot login anymore. Would you have an idea of what is wrong? [admin] Login Blues, Part II

Gents, Hmmm. After rebooting (merely guessing this might be a possible factor), I was no longer able to login via WinCVS. Tried twice to make sure I had the new password right, which I have not changed since being given a new one yesterday. This time I was smart enough to try logging in from WinSCP, which seems to have better luck at this. Unfortunately this does not work because "too many connect failures for ktilton". I do not know if this means "the password is right, but we have seen too many failures so this account is blocked" or whether it means "the password is wrong /and/ we have seen...". Hopefully it is the former and I just need ktilton reset. [admin] Are Developer Logins working?

Hi, all. I am ready to upload Cells II, Cells-LTk, and the latest Cello code. Two issues: (1) I tried logging in with WinCVS as ktilton(a)common-lisp.net but got rejected. I am pretty sure of the password because when I forgot it last time I made sure I wrote down the new one. If you just want to reset it and lemme know that would be fine, but because of the recent turmoil I thought maybe something else is going on. (2) I am finding that having the two lists Cells and Cello is unworkable. I would like to abandon Cello and just use Cells. Once I get the source uploaded to Cells i will make an announcement on the Cello lists to the effect that all code and mail from now on from me will be appearing in the Cells project. Is there anything else to be done? cheers, kenny

Hi, Now that the s-xml and s-xml-rpc project are going well, I would like to request the hosting of yet another project of mine, Common Lisp Prevalence, as previously published at http://homepage.mac.com/svc/prevalence/readme.html New project name cl-prevalence, License is LLGPL, I would be the only developer/committer for now.
