Brian Mastenbrook and I each presented a paper at the 2005
International Lisp Conference, and we both thought it would
be worthwhile to do a repeat performance for the Chicago LUG.
Brian's paper (with coauthors) is about Climacs, a syntax-aware
editor writing in Common Lisp. It does controlled reparsing
of text upon editing. He has nifty graphical demos.
My paper is on the ANSI Common Lisp conformance test suite
that's distributed with GNU Common Lisp. It's had a large
impact on many CL implementations, and I think the lessons
learned in testing apply to other languages as well.
I'll let everyone know when we've scheduled these. Send
suggestions for times/places to me or to this list.
