Hello everyone, There is a new Google Group started yesterday, called clojure-power (http://bit.ly/T1ehqO). The goal of the group is sharing ideas between various Clojure user groups world wide, promoting Clojure, and making user group meetings more interesting and fun. [toronto-lisp] FogBugz/emacs user?

I started working on a mode to interface to emacs with FogBugz. In particular I want a nice org-mode file generated with it.<https://github.com/omouse/fogbugz-mode> FogBugz is a bug/issue tracker, we're using it at work and it isn't too bad. I'm coding a server that mocks the API of FogBugz so that testing the interface is much quicker (also because I have no internet at home at the moment and it's really hard to test a web API without internet) The mock server uses Common Lisp: https://github.com/omouse/fogbugz-mode/blob/master/mock-fogbugz.lisp -Rudolf O.

Not sure if this has been sent out already, but just in case. Based on feedback from people who have voiced their opinions thus far, it looks like we're back at Wave for the week coming up. Regular time (6:00pm to 8:00pm) on Tuesday at Wave Accounting; http://goo.gl/maps/fm4id I probably won't be there, so it would be useful if one of the attendees volunteered to take notes. -Leo

Hi folks, I've been lurking in the group for a long time, although the last time I attended a meetup was nigh-3-years ago. (You're all the reason I discovered LinuxCaffe! Which is sort of bittersweet, now.) I'm writing because I'm co-organizing the Toronto edition of the Global Day of Coderetreat (description below.) I've run many a Coderetreat, and one of the fascinating things about it is the sheer number of people who show up and say things like "I'd like to try solving this problem in Lisp/Scala/Erlang/Clojure/Haskell/etc.". I'd love to have some people from this group coming out to represent the functional crowd! Our choices are Bento Miso - West end (near Queen West and Strachan) - Has a projector, painted whiteboards everywhere and a huge space - Available 7pm or later (which means we'd be doing a 7 to 9 meeting rather than our standard 6 to 8) Wave Accounting - East end (near Queen East and Carlaw) - Has giant TV, very comfortable chairs and a medium space - Available at our usual meeting time Both are reachable by the Queen streetcar (you may still need to take a bus part-way to Wave because of construction). Make your voice heard: which do you prefer? I've got a vague preference for Wave just because they're much closer to where I work. Count me as a 1/4 vote since I very probably won't be at the November meeting (we're due on the 2nd). -Leo
